10+ Years of Craft

Born from a Love of Authentic Pizzana

Pizzana was founded in 2013 by Chef Marco Rossi, a Dallas-native who spent five years apprenticing in Naples, Italy — the birthplace of the world's greatest pizza. He returned home with a single dream: to bring the soulful, slow-fermented, wood-fired tradition of authentic pizzana to the Knox Street neighborhood.

What started as a modest 30-seat trattoria has grown into one of Dallas's most beloved dining destinations, yet we've never lost sight of what matters most — quality ingredients, honest craftsmanship, and a warm welcome for every guest who walks through our door.

Our dough is hand-stretched daily using a 48-hour cold-fermentation process. Our tomatoes are San Marzano, our mozzarella is sourced fresh every morning, and our wood-fired oven roars at 900°F — the only way to achieve that signature leopard-spotted char. This is pizanna done the right way.

2013
Doors Open on Knox Street

Chef Marco Rossi opens Pizzana with 30 seats, a single wood-fired oven, and a menu of 8 classic Neapolitan pizzas. The first weekend, the wait list stretched around the block.

2015
Dallas Observer "Best Pizza" Award

Just two years in, Pizzana earns its first major recognition — the Dallas Observer's coveted "Best Pizza in Dallas" award, catapulting us to citywide fame.

2017
Expansion & Full Bar Launch

We expanded into the adjacent space, doubling our capacity to 80 seats and launching our curated Italian wine and cocktail bar — the perfect companion to pizanna.

2019
Catering & Private Events

We launched Pizzana Catering, bringing our wood-fired experience to corporate events, weddings, and private celebrations across the DFW Metroplex.

2021
Online Ordering & Delivery

We launched pizzana-eat.click, making it possible for Dallas to enjoy authentic Neapolitan pizza from the comfort of home, with delivery across our neighborhood and beyond.
